“Come here. Let’s get this over with.” Dom quietly commanded. Using nothing more than that simple touch on his face, he bid Jaysen from my arms and made him face him.

He tipped his head toward the door, and Julie shut it for us.

“Pretu,” Julie gently bid, once she’d returned to us.

  “He isn’t—” I began.

“Hush. Silence yourself or go in the other room.”

“Don’t leave me!” Jaysen blurted out on a whisper.

He might have been pleading, but at least he was complying. He was working the buttons of his shirt even as he negotiated. Julie wrapped her arms around him and kissed his neck. She ran her hands up his chest and slid the shirt down his arms. Dom must have been undoing his pants for him at the same time, they fell immediately after.

He tapped the side of Jay’s ass, and Jay stepped out of the pool of clothes, leaving them for Julie to collect.

  “Come here,” Dom said.

He stopped Jay from locking his hands behind his head mid-maneuver and motioned for me to get behind him.

“Make yourself useful. Relax him Bring the blood to the surface.” He smirked.

  “Huh?” I stammered.

Jay didn’t give him a chance to take it back. He reached blindly behind him and tugged me toward them. Dom kept his eyes on me and lowered his head over Jay’s shoulder. He sprinkled kisses in a row until he got to his pulse point. That was where he hovered, until his lip gave that awkward twitch and he hauled back.

“Do it if you’re going to,” he growled, in a way that stressed the restraint he was fighting for.

I moved for the shoulder my brother hadn’t slobbered on, and he abruptly jerked Jay around, forcing him to face me. It startled him, and he gave a little gasp and clung to me the moment he found his balance.

  “Now.” Dom winked.

His fingers tangled in Jay’s hair and he tipped his head back and to the side, giving me the untouched side of his throat.

I nuzzled just beneath his ear and placed a kiss to his jaw. Soon, Dom didn’t need to hold his head, Jay was turning to the command of my mouth.

  Chapter Sixteen

  Jaysen

My every nerve jumped with anticipation. My body was going crazy. Shivering and shaking only to find myself surrendering and sometimes searching for their heat. The graze of Dom’s chest so snuggly against my back and his brother’s soft mouth was a deadly combination.

I didn’t see the Oracle tap Angel, but I certainly knew the difference in his protective embrace and the brush of her curves. She was in a satiny midthigh robe that she hadn’t bothered tying. I wasn’t certain breasts had never been so beautiful. Then again, I’d only ever seen one other woman naked and that was too long ago to really remember. I was staring, sort of hypnotized when Dom slowly slid his hands from my hips, up the center of my back. When he reached my neck, he carefully curled his fingers in my hair and tipped my head back.

While he tipped me one way, she tried to convince me to pull away. Her lips were so soft, I couldn’t help but lean into her playful nibble.

Her hand slid across my torso and down my trail of hair.

“C’mere,” she whispered, wrapping her hands around my neck. She lured me to the ground and Dom followed. It was all fine, until she laid back and left me to it. Suddenly, I got smacked with the worst case of nerves. It didn’t help that she was gorgeous. Not just pretty, her breasts were full and her body was so thick.

“Go on.” Dom’s breath fanned behind my ear.

It sent a chill up my spine, but when I ran my hand up her tight thigh, I forgot about the monster behind me. She was the perfect distraction. As if she’d read my mind, she scooted down and subtly wiggled. I gasped when she fisted my cock and momentarily forgot what we were doing when she used it to split her folds.

I sank into her and bit my lip so hard I tasted blood.

  Fuck!

My eyes shot open, but Dom reacted to my thoughts quicker than I did. His large hand planted firmly in the small of my back, pinning me deep within her. They were quite the pair, while he restrained me, she started tightening around my cock and nipping at my lips. I tried to dodge her, then I gave up and pecked at her kisses, until alas, she forced me to open my mouth and let our tongues dance together.

I knew when she tasted the blood, she started moaning and rocked her hips without warning. It left me searching for my next breath while Dom bit his wrist and let the blood pour down my back.

“What the f . . .?” I asked through my haze, just as he started to massage my ass with the blood.

“Benefits of being a Dark One.” He laughed from behind me while applying a bit of pressure.

I knew it was going to happen, I’d just gotten so comfortable with their current treatment of me, that I forgot who I was fucking with, until he thrust his finger deep into me. It made me throb from root to tip.

I lay my head in the crook of her neck and tried to prepare myself for what was coming next. He didn’t disappoint, even with just two fingers, he was able to command me. Part of me wanted to hide, but the other part left me spreading just a bit to welcome him when he pulled out his fingers and started to kiss me with the crown of his cock.

“Dom,” I panicked, against Julie’s mouth.

She bit my lip and smiled, I was staring into her eyes, awestruck when he finally committed. I gasped, and she laced her fingers in my hair and kissed my throat. Her cunt started to spasm around my cock. Greedily gripping while Dom unapologetically buried himself in me, spreading my body and snaring my breath. His other hand found my back and the maddening pressure intensified with each short, deep thrust.

Just when I thought I couldn’t take it anymore, he slid against something delicious.

Once he started to taunt that spot, it was like I was afraid he’d lose it. I started to fuck him back, rather than being a condom for his new Queen.

There was no tenderness in Dom, only the drive to evoke responses in people.

He was no different when he fucked.

It was mind blowing, until she snapped into the side of my neck. It was like someone ripped the floor out from under me. I wildly snatched and clung to her. When I gasped, and it left on a scream when Dom sank his fangs into the other side.

It was like the largest bore needle had been crammed into my jugular and delivered a massive dose of fire.

Torture and bliss collided until I came so hard, I was sure I’d pulled muscles. I felt my veins slowly dry and seal shut as I was drained.

All I could do was try to thrash, until I was too weak to do so. My lungs no longer cooperated to scream, but oh how I was on the inside.

  That was a fucking buffer?

I’d no doubt, she was absolutely right. If he’d have tapped into me without her there to balance his venom it would have killed me.

I heard the snap of a wrist and then the Oracle’s hasty, “No!”

Blood splattered across my cheek, and I groaned trying to get a drop.

“No! You aren’t ready for that.” She quickly wiped the droplets away, ripped into her own wrist and gave me a big enough sip to heal. Not that healing felt any better than suffering. All those veins had to rehydrate, and it happened at lightning speed. A sharp sting that I thought would never dissipate.

“You see . . .,” the Oracle purred.

“Oh, I see.” Dom’s voice was thick and needy. He’d long since finished with me and was grazing his nails across my overwhelmed flesh. Somehow during the struggle of it all, my dick had slid free and was currently snugged against Julie’s thigh.

His hand encased Julie’s and they started to stroke me together. I couldn’t say I’d ever had a better awakening. Especially when Julie started to kiss her way south.

I panicked for a moment, remembering that Angel was in the room. I sucked in air and wildly looked around, only to find him leaning against the edge of the sofa. He was working himself to the same rhythm that Julie was sucking.

I watched his hand slowly roll from root to tip while my cock took the same pattern over her tongue. The hug of her cheeks brought me back to her and just as she dropped lower and ran her tongue over my balls.

Everything started to throb and tingle when that greedy tongue ran up the length and swallowed the head. Angel came, spurting ribbons of cum on his own fist, while she finished welcoming me.

  I was officially Dom’s.

  Chapter Seventeen

  Dom

The lot of them slept like the dead. Let them. They’d probably need it. Everyone was distracted, talking about crowns and where to pass them. The damn fools must not have realized that an attack on their King, was an attack on their crown.

If I had to bet money or blood, I’d say it was the Last Ones. I hauled from the whiskey bottle and glanced across the room toward Julie.

  My Oracle . . . my wife.

  Fuck me.

I pulled my feet closer to me and laid an arm on either knee, balancing the bottle between them. I hated to think that she was the reason, but it made sense. And if there was one thing I knew about mortals; it was that they were creatures of habit.

Her mate. The one her mother gave her to at birth. Trevor was the leader of the Lost Ones. Julie wasn’t our Oracle. We fucking stole her.

  Not that she knew that.

I sighed and shook my head. The little bastard had ambition I’d give him that. He must have known about the prophesy.

The more I thought about it the madder I got.

Of course, he knew of the prophesy! Now, if he kills me, he can claim his status as her rightful mate and announce himself the King of the Dark Ones.

The hair on the back of my neck prickled, and I shot a quick look around the room. Nothing seemed out of place. No intruders. Only the pale-blue eyes of my newest progeny. My only progeny really, they’ve always chosen death rather than submission to me.

I tipped my head back, looked directly at him, and sent a shock of energy straight for his forehead. The same way I had been earlier in the day. He merely blinked and narrowed his gaze on me.

  “Well done.” I quietly laughed.

He closed his eyes, and I returned to my liquor. Well, I tried. The moment I tipped the bottle, unseen fingers touched just between my eyes and subtly pressed back. I wasn’t expecting it, so whiskey ended up splashing down the front of my shirt.

“You little fucker!” I shot out, while he tried his best to feign sleep. I flicked the air and aimed it straight at his nose.

The moment the energy left my palm it was like I had cast a fishing pole. Only I wasn’t the one doing the catching. I snatched my hand shut and tried to rip it back toward myself, but he just kept on pulling!

“Julie!” I screamed, half fearing he would kill me.

She sat up and blindly fumbled with the covers like she was looking for her phone.

  “A little help,” I groaned.

She grabbed his arm and the connection broke. Jaysen’s eyes were big, and all it took was one look at him to tell he was terrified of how I was going to react.

  “I-I couldn’t stop, and I couldn’t talk . . . and . . .,” he rambled until Julie shushed him.

“I told you, he’s fae . . .” She scoffed, like I hadn’t drunk from the mortal myself.

I narrowed my gaze on her and rubbed my palm.

“So, you didn’t know he could do that?” I asked, with more than a little disbelief in my tone.

“No. I haven’t worked with him at all, I told you.”

I leaned down until our faces were damn near touching.

“Say you told me something, one more time . . .” I tapped my ear and waited.

She cocked her head and looked at me like my mouth had outdone my ass and leaned back against my progeny.

“She turned her head toward him and pressed her lips to his cheek, then she said something I couldn’t hear, and he lifted his hand.

“Julie!” I barked, only to be met with her giggle.

“Ahh, you see, Executioner. Your bite might be poison to him, but he didn’t come to the fight defenseless.” She stretched out her shapely leg and pointed at me with her toes.

She was used to certain things. She captivated everyone around her, holding them hostage in a limbo of terror and temptation.

  Even the demons worshipped her.

I snatched her ankle and gave a tug that threatened to bring her to me.

“I’m not through with you,” I promised.

Not that I was going to try her that exact moment. No. I might have been psychotic, but I wasn’t fucking stupid. Whatever that was, it drained me without him having to touch me. Hell, if he was to be believed, he didn’t even know how he did it.

  That was the scary part.

I leaned up against the outside of the cabin and lit a cigarette. A stupid habit, considering I didn’t breathe unless I wanted to. All the same I stood holding the smoldering stick and bringing it to my mouth now and then while I surveyed the forest line and played the coup scene over in my head. All the blood. Talon. Fucking Talon. What the fuck would we do without him? We were a team. I’m the muscle. The consequence, and he was the voice of reason. The conscience that held us all together at the seams.

Without that . . . were we any different than the lost ones?

  Chapter Eighteen

  Jules

Nobody really took the time to ‘figure’ Dom out. It’d be like trying to get up close and inspect a rabid dog. Shit like that only ended one way.

What the fuck was wrong with me? Why had I shared such a prophesy? Did my then childhood mind somehow think the one who ends was some knight in shining armor? Newsflash sweet pea, your Romeo turned out to be nothing more than a douchebag with fancy fangs.

I supposed that generous cock of his made up for it a little.

A little. Not that I’d ever admit such, there was just something about watching two capable men fuck each other up that got me every time. I felt his eyes on me, so I hiked a brow and playfully slapped my pussy.

It was still bare. I’d taken the time to clean myself, but I really couldn’t be bothered with clothes. What for? I had three bodies to adorn myself with. If it amused me two of them would slit their own wrists just so that I could bathe in the warmth of their blood.

“You’re way too comfortable,” Dom said, in that low, sultry tone of his.

I sank down into the covers and brought my arms over my head to stretch. There was no rest for our kind, and as much as his vigilance annoyed me, I knew it was well placed. So, I slid away from Angel and Jaysen and grabbed a cup. He poured a few shots in it and stared expectantly at me.

  “What?” I laughed.

  “It ain’t funny,” he quipped.

  “You’re still sore about Jaysen?”

“Jaysen? Fuck Jaysen. . . . I’m talking about the Lost Ones, Julie.”

I set the cup down and started for the bathroom, unwilling to entertain any conversation about those people.

I used to dream of them at night. They haunted me, chased me. Each time they were closer, faster. Somehow, I knew that as long as Talon was breathing, they couldn’t hurt me. He was my childhood hero.

Those were the fears of a little girl. I was a grown woman. A Dark One, and an Oracle in my own right. Who the fuck were they? Some witches that refused to die and a bunch of imbeciles who couldn’t play by the rules, that’s what.

I forced myself to stay and face the conversation. They couldn’t hurt me. I was as charismatic as I was powerful, people rarely saw me coming.

  “His name is Trevor.”

“Whose name is Trevor?” The name was so hard for me to say, my voice cracked in a way that embarrassed me, and I didn’t know why.

“The mother fucker that’s coming for our crown. For my head. And for you.” His gaze was so heavy that I stepped away from it, unwilling to catch whatever he was about to throw my way. “You were sold to him at birth.”

Laughter trickled from me. Shrill, loud, and co
mpletely manic.

“Sold.” I scoffed, in a way that left me skeptical rather than him. “No one . . . no one fucking sells babies, Dom. Mortals can’t even lay with one another unless we permit it. They pay the price. Our price . . . sold.”

The laughter came again, but this time, so did his hand. It wrapped around my jaw, stilling me and forcing me to look into those merciless eyes again.

“You were an abomination.” A cold sliver of fear shot down to my stomach and back up my spine.

“Abominations are burnt upon discovery,” I whispered.

“You were no ordinary abomination. You, clearly, were meant to be our Oracle, but before that, you were just another abomination, sold to Trevor Moreland.”

“If I was sold to the Lost Ones, then how did I end up here?” They had their own territory in Nevada. We were near Seattle.

“Talon saved you,” he mumbled in a way that broke my heart.

“You guys were close,” I began, but that only served to end our heart to heart. He rocked to his feet and shut the same bathroom door I had intended to hide behind.

He stayed in there, too, until it was time to leave.

“You know the Coven meets at dawn,” Angel said, before slapping his palm on the door a few times.

He was just about to bring it down a third time, when Dom jerked the door open. Angel darted back a step and immediately squared up.

“Least you got a little bit of sense left in ya,” Dom quipped before shoulder-checking his brother and starting out the door. “They won’t start without me.”

Once we got closer to the compound, he slowed his pace and allowed us all to catch up with him. The energy inside was strong. I had to cast a few boundaries before I finally felt good about things. Even then, it was overwhelming.

Angel held the door for us to file past and slapped me discreetly on the ass before closing it behind us. He lingered there, no doubt checking over the crowd and looking for potential threats. He was as protective as Dom was mean.
